CVC Lacoste is a knitted fabric with a characteristic porous surface (small holes, or a pique pattern), made from a blend of two fibres: cotton and polyester.
CVC stands for Chief Value Cotton, meaning cotton is the dominant fibre over polyester. It is the main standard material for collared tees and polo shirts.
Characteristics & Advantages of CVC Lacoste
- Porous surface (pique weave): Its small-hole knit lets air circulate (breathability), so the wearer stays cool.
- Comfortable & absorbent: With cotton dominant, it stays soft on the skin and absorbs sweat well, like pure cotton.
- Low shrinkage & durable: The polyester content strengthens the structure, so it resists stretching and shrinkage and lasts through frequent washing.
- Neat, formal look: Its firm hand gives a cleaner silhouette, well suited to office uniforms, event tees, casual wear and formal collared polo shirts.
